The elves

I don't know if you had come across The Elves by Johann Ludwig Tieck.

It's a fascinating but sad story.

I am, of course, attracted to it mainly because it's an adventure of myth and mystic.

"Fantasy again." as my friends (who are always rolling their eyes when i speak of it) call it.

Well, i don't mind their lack of enthusiasm about this stuff, they are the goblins and orcs anyway. (snicker!)

I can always get lessons from these fantasy stories. Small lessons which goes unnoticed in real life.

In The Elves i learned these things:

Secrets are secrets. No matter how tempting it is to tell someone, we should have that reserved energy to always hold our tongue back.

Little mary was so good at this but she is human, so she got tempted in the end.

*Which means, we shouldn't tell our secrets to human beings. Plain and simple.haha.

Appreciate every relationship you have in your life. (Now, this one is serious.Really.)

Elfrida treasured the elf Zerina, and when she left, Elfrida died of sadness.

*Now, who wants to die because of sadness? Not me. So that's why I should treasure the people in my life.

We should not piss people if we don't want to lose them in our life.
Remember, we don't know what we have until it's gone.

* Mary shouldn't have told her husband about Elfrida and Zerina.

Zerina got pissed with Mary, so the elves packed up and left the village.

Mind you, the village suffered for it was no longer beautiful, bountiful and green.

The elven kingdom flourishes the village, but the village people doesn't know this.

* I don't know how to relate this one but the next time you see your garden flourishing with beautiful flowers or your house looks like spring everyday, maybe Zerina and the elven kingdom moved into your turf. ^_~ so don't piss them off.

I am not saying that the characters shouldn't have done what they did, because if they didn't...

There would be no story.

Is your friend lonely?

Here's what you need:

A rainbow

A brush

A syringe with sterile needle

The Procedure:

Stare at the rainbow for like, 15 minutes ,then blend it with your brush until its totally mixed, then put the mixture in the syringe and inject it to your lonely friend's vein. And Voila! He/She has rainbow veins!!!

I don't know if it can really make her happy though..but for a friend, every effort is appreciated.

and it's not everyday that you get to have rainbow veins.^_~

Starting Out

Today one nervous imp sets off to write her very first blog...

...and after 15 minutes she stares blankly at the monitor ...at a blank box.

She tries to think of anything to write...just about anything really.

Her day, her fave stuff, her friends, her fave movie, an interesting book, the fairies, the mermaids, the vampires, the insects...urgh...the topics went on yet she still doesn't know how to start.

Until a voice in her mind shouted "THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BLAHBLAH-YADDA YOU IMP!!!!" and at that, she sighed..."why did i even name this the blahblah-yadda?"

Several days ago, she was so excited that she finally has the time to start her own blog(yei!!!!) and now here she is, like a little creature stunned by an evil goddess...(mwahahaha!)

She doesn't know why this is happening...she talks a lot and if she has nobody to talk to...she writes down her thoughts.

After another 15 minutes...

She stares at the monitor...reading only one word..and that is TODAY...

yes! she managed to type one word...and that word is TODAY.

TODAY.

ooohhh crap....she is now convinced that an evil goddess has stunned her brain....she panics.

She doesn't know what to do...she has no remedy, no elixirs to cure her.

OH no!!! Soon i'll be brain dead!!!*gasp* and I will never ever start my own blog.*tears*

Luckily, her brother went inside the room and brought her back to the reality that no evil goddess stunned her brain.*whew!*

She started to write thinking about what happened to her at that moment...it was the most spontaneous thing she could think of writing.

After a few minutes...she read what she had written.

She smiled.

And with that, she highlighted all the words and deleted it.

She logged out and went to sleep.

*That's how agonizing starting a blog is.* sheesh.
